Children receive home education following Liberia ebola outbreak Since the Liberian government closed schools in August 2014 because of the Ebola outbreak, more than a million children of school age have been staying home and receiving no education. A group of Liberians calling themselves the 'Kids Educational Engagements Project' or, KEEP, have embarked on a self-help initiative of taking lesson packets to children at home in communities in and around Monrovia.
