Festival Marrabenta opens its 8th edition in Maputo On January 31st opened the 8th edition of Festival Marrabenta in Maputo, Mozambique. This year the show took place on the capital’s main square (Independence square). Free and opened to all, it attracted a huge crowd, from mid-afternoon till late in the night. The Festival will carry on to other cities of southern Mozambique, ending up on February 7th in Xai-Xai (Gaza province). IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
