Displaced Iraqis return to Diyala province after IS departure Hundreds of Iraqi families are returning to the Sherwin district, 65 kilometres northeast of Baquba (capital of the Diyala province), after it was liberated from the Islamic State group in January. Iraqi security forces and the Diyala local government have put forth a plan to allow the displaced to return progressively to their destroyed homes after they are checked and registered. Now they're faced with having to reconstruct their lives and deal with the fear of explosives left behind by the jihadists. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
