Description
Dutch consumers join collective farms to fight against climate change In Boxtel, in the south of the Netherlands, a farm feeding hundreds of locals is not like any traditional farm. Instead the farm is owned and run by a cooperative of hundreds of local consumers, the latest innovation for a country engaged in an existential fight against climate change. After a one-off entrance fee of 2,000 euros the locals then pay a small weekly fee of around 10 euros per person, and in return get the food they want, avoiding waste and keeping things local and seasonal.
