Description
The short-haired Ladoum rams, whose corkscrew-shaped horns can reach an impressive length of 1.20m, are hugely popular in Senegal, a country where sheep farming is routinely the subject of television programmes. Wealthier Senegalese citizens are often happy to pay a small fortune to set fire to Ladoum rams during the Feast of Sacrifice, Eid al-Adha, known as Tabaski in West Africa, scheduled for mid next week.
