Marc Silvestri, now 43, was deployed to Afghanistan at the age of 31 for 13 months, and now is a veteran services director in his hometown. He was deployed to the "most attacked base in all of Iraq and Afghanistan through all the years of the war," being targeted 125 times during his time there.
