Parisians are gearing up for changes in the way they drive around the capital after the mayor, Anne Hidalgo, extends a 30 km/h speed limit to most streets. The measure, to be introduced August 30, will not affect Paris's famous 'peripherique' ring road, the boulevards des maréchaux (roads just inside the city limits which ring the capital, Eds.) and some other major roads.
