Arctic LNG 2, a giant liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant under construction in the Arctic, secures nearly ten billion euros in financing from Russian and international banks. Now work on the project is progresses in two directions. Near Murmansk, special platforms are being built at the Belokamenka plant. They will then be towed to the Utrenneye gas field on the Gydan Peninsula. There, gas wells are being drilled and facilities built to accommodate the platforms.
