CBS 8 had complete coverage of the 1967 Miss San Diego contest when Cynthia McCabe was crowned Miss San Diego on April 1, 1967. Shortly after she resigned because she told Junior Chamber sponsors she was going to marry the following month. To her delight, first runner-up Teresa Louise Bale was crowned the new Miss San Diego. The 18-year-old received her robe and crown from Miss San Diego 1966 Vickie Palmer on July 20, 1967.
