Description
Ukrainian refugees arrive in Nynashamn, just south of Stockholm, on the daily ferry over from Gdansk after fleeing from Russia's bombs and tanks over the Polish border. They are greeted by a mass of enthusiastic volunteers organised by Emma Solander, who began volunteering so that she could "take my anxiety about the war and do something positive with it". Even so, neither the essentials like the baby food and hygiene products they hand out nor the creature comforts like the plush toys provide much more than brief comfort for those Ukrainians who feel they've "lost everything" in the conflict.
