Palestinians flock to the markets to shop for cakes, sweets and Fesikh, which is a traditional salty fermented fish dish, as they prepare for Eid al-Fitr. "My sisters and I established our Eid sweet making business as we couldn't find work in our fields," says Khan Yunis resident Hanadi Abu Tahina, who prepares large quantities of cakes and sweets as demand hits every year at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
