Young Ukrainians in Taiwan, who recently moved to central Taichung city to study on full scholarships, draw parallels between Russia and China.
"I choose to come to Taiwan because the life here is similar to that in Ukraine. We have democracy in Taiwan which is also similar to democracy in Ukraine," says Anna Fursyk, a 20-year-old Ukrainian at Tinghai University.
Another student at the universeity warns Taiwan that it needs to be ready to defend itself for a potensial attack from China.
"I thought all the time that someone like the U.S. will come to save us or Europe will come to save us, but it turned out that no one is going to come to save us," says Roman Koval. "Taiwan will learn from Ukraine’s experience. Be always ready and be always prepared." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
