Description
Sajid Javid launches his bid to become UK Conservative Party leader, saying that competence and integrity are the key qualities sought by the British public, without which his party could lose power. The former Finance and Health Minister was the first member of Cabinet to quit in the round of resignations which brought about the end of Boris Johnson's premiership. In common with other leadership contenders, he pledges to cut taxes if elected by Conservative Party MPs and members, while he has declined to discuss his tax affairs as they were before he became an MP.
