In an exclusive interview with AFP, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says he has no plans to recognize the separatist territories in Ukraine recognized by Moscow to justify its military intervention, nor the Russian annexation of Crimea in 2014. Lukashenko also denounces the "stupid" sanctions imposed on Russia and points to Europe's huge dependence on Russian hydrocarbons, which threatens to degenerate into an economic recession should gas deliveries be cut off.
