Description
"Runes are traditionally quite popular" says Kristel Zilmer, a Professor of Runology and Iconography at the University of Oslo, commenting on the discovery of what is believed to be the world's oldest runestone in Norway. "People are interested in runes and runic inscriptions and are fascinated about the early finds". The piece will be on show at the Museum of History in Oslo by the end of this week. "We do believe that this new find will generate a lot of interest" says Professor Zilmer, "among both scholars and other interested people." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
