Description
Zhuangzhuang is the first warmblood to be born in China -- and the country's first registered cloned horse. Expected to open up new prospects for the country's equestrian sport industry, short on high-performance horses, the black foal is unveiled to the press in Beijing. Born last June from a surrogate mother, Zhuangzhuang is a product of the laboratory Sinogene and the clone of a warmblood horse imported from Germany. "Both of them are very smart. As if he had experienced these things before (Zhuangzhuang)," says breeder Yin Chuyun. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
