Description
Waste floating in the Drina river has completely covered up a portion of the water from one of the main rivers of Bosnia. An anti-pollution barrier installed in mid-November has already retained "about 10,000 cubic meters of plastic packaging and wood especially" says Dejan Furtula, president of the environmental group "Eko Centar Visegrad". "During floods or during snow melts, the water from the flooded rivers carries away this waste and brings it here" he explains. "This is an international problem that involves three countries: Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro. We must save our rivers, we must show that we are able to stop this repeated disaster."
