Description
To defeat Ukraine and its Western allies, the Russian authorities are encouraging the militarization of minds, starting at school. Tatiana Chervenko, a Moscow teacher, was fired for refusing to teach the Kremlin's narrative justifying the offensive in Ukraine. She denounces a desire to create "little toy soldiers" and "stupid children" ready to die blindly for Russia. Grigori Yudin, sociologist, explains that currently in the country, "education has two functions in general... to make propaganda and to provide basic military training." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
