She could have fled, set up her workshops anywhere in Europe: but the Ukrainian designer Lilia Litkovska chose to stay in Kyiv, where her collections, soon to be presented at Paris Fashion Week, are being designed.
With their eyes glued to their machines, seamstresses are busy themselves in an old factory in a renovated industrial zone near Podil. Around them, stylists adjust the final details of the clothes destined for Paris.
