Description
In the Protestant church of St. Thomas in Berlin, a few hundreds of Letzte Generation activists discuss and share a brunch before starting a climate march towards the Brandenburg Gate. The church has become an unlikely gathering point for these young activists used to shock actions. In the north-east of Berlin, another Protestant church, Gethsemane, is also hosting discussions on climate change. The sign on the front of the church reads "Church open to climate issues". "This is not a 'Letzte Generation' event," says Pastor Aljona Hofmann, "but we also want to get people talking about this urgent issue as a church." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
