Description
The Palais de Tokyo's museum president says Miriam Cahn's controversial work 'Fuck abstraction!' will continue to be on display, "as it stands today", until the end of the exhibition, despite having been vandalised. The painting, which depicts a person with tied hands being forced to perform fellatio by a faceless powerful man, was sprayed with paint by a former National Front member. While critics see the victim in the painting as a child, for the artist it is a "denunciation of violence and the use of sexuality as a weapon of war". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
