Description
Seven tapirs are released in a period of three years, for their reproduction in their natural habitat in the Cervantes wildlife reserve in Chinandega, Nicaragua.
The tapirs are monitored by satellite for their protection. Eduardo Sacasa, director of "Saving the Tapir in Nicaragua" says there are estimated only 400 tapirs in the country and the wildlife reserve will be a research center for scientists and biologists and everyone who wants to know about the endangered animal in the future.
