Together with his team, Kuzya (his call sign), a sniper with a Ukrainian elite unit, selects weapons laid out on the living-room floor before driving to "line zero" in eastern Ukraine, just a few hundred metres from Russian troops. His team of around 20 snipers is known as the "Ghosts of Bakhmut" after they spent months battling Russian forces around the town, which was destroyed by a year of fierce fighting.
