Description
Residents of Pietrasanta, in Tuscany, recount some of the moments they shared with the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose ashes are in the Misericordia church, where his famous paintings "The Gates of Paradise" and "The Gates of Hell" are displayed. The Colombian painter and sculptor will be buried in the small Italian town nicknamed "Little Athens" because of its high concentration of sculptors, marble quarries and foundries, where he worked and lived for many years and where his wife, the Greek artist Sophia Vari, is also buried.
