Description
In Kibbutz Dafna both the people and the local cows are heaving under the pressure of the ongoing conflict between Israel and its neighbours. Local resident Arik Yaakobi, one of the few residents who chose to stay, say the cattle are very reactive to the sirens and outgoing artillery, but he believes they will get used to it in the same way they have. Here, less than two kilometers from Lebanon, the remaining civilian population fear a massacre comparable to that of October 7 in the south. Almost all the 1,050 inhabitants of the farming community have been evacuated to hotels near Lake Tiberias. Only fifteen or so men remained, responsible for security. This kibbutz is not alone in its fear of a repeat attack. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
