Description
Four years ago, young Chileans led a social uprising that echoed throughout Latin America and led to the process of removing a symbol of the past: the Constitution of the Pinochet dictatorship. They have however since lost interest. On December 17, Chileans will vote on the second proposal for a Constitution drafted by a right-wing-dominated council. It will be the country's second vote on a new constitution in as many years, after a version drafted by a different body failed in September 2022. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
