Description
It's a "very emotional day" for carpenters at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris as the last dowel is hammered into the wooden frame. A traditional bouquet made from a branch coming from one of trees used in the reconstruction project is placed at the top of the choir frame, marking the end of this rebuilding stage. "For me, this is the beginning of a never-ending story, which will continue for as long as the cathedral lasts," shares Damien Pinardi, carpenter, on the end of the restoration of the choir frame at Notre-Dame.Notre Dame was ravaged by fire on 15 April 2019 and is due to reopen on 8 December 2024.(Complete VIDI34EQ6W7_EN) IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
