Global warming is a growing concern, and in South Africa's Cape Winelands region east of Cape Town, Reyneke estate is rethinking how it plants its vines to help mitigate the effects of higher temperatures and drought. "It regenerates very quickly, and as soon as that balance comes back and you recreate that biodiversity, it is in my mind, a much better way," says the estate's chief winemaker and director Rudiger Gretschel.
