South Africa's president Cyril Ramaphosa signs a new law which aims to provide universal healthcare, just two weeks ahead of the country's general election. The National Health Insurance (NHI) law comes despite pushback from the opposition and business groups. "The National Health Insurance is a commitment to eradicate the stark inequalities that have long determined who receives in our country, who receives adequate healthcare and who suffers from neglect," Ramaphosa says.
