IOC president Thomas Bach attends the unveiling of a sculpture designed by American artist Alison Sarr that symbolises the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Entitled "Salon", the statue of a black woman holding an olive branch and a golden flame "represents the quest for dialogue", Bach explains, adding, "this what the Olympics are about, to bring all the different cultures of the world together in a peaceful competition and for dialogue."
