Cedric Jubillar's lawyers say they will submit a new application for the release of their client "today". He has been in custody since he was charged on 18 June 2021 with the murder of his wife Delphine in December 2020, following a hearing during which the public prosecutor requested that he be referred to the Court of Appeal. "He denies being guilty of murder, he's been telling us nonsense for three years. If he's released, he'll run away", says Philippe Pressecq, lawyer for one of Delphine Jubillar's cousins. The Toulouse Court of Appeal will rule on the case on 26 September. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
