Description
Mauritanians are voting today to choose between change and the continuity embodied by outgoing President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. Speaking to the press at the end of the day, Ghazouani said he wanted to express his "satisfaction with the climate of peace, security and serenity in which voting operations are taking place in the interior of the country". His comments came shortly after human rights activist and opposition candidate Biram Dah Abeid denounced fraud. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
