The EU will help Ukraine "keep the lights on, to keep your people warm" this winter, says the bloc's chief Ursula von der Leyen as she visits Kyiv. On Friday, Von der Leyen announced that the EU would lend Ukraine 35 billion euros, backed by revenues from frozen Russian assets, as Moscow bombards the country's energy infrastructure. "We can cover 25 percent of Ukraine's needs for this winter," she adds. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
