UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosts French President Emmanuel Macron for talks, saying the meeting "is further evidence of our ability to work well together" as the pair meet at the British leader's country retreat. The discussions are set to include the Ukraine war, the Middle East and the situation in Europe and follow the two leaders earlier this week hitting out at US tech billionaire Elon Musk over his increasingly strident interventions into domestic European politics. "This is an opportunity for us to discuss the bilateral relationship, the link between the European Union and Great Britain, and also to talk about the major issues of the moment: Ukraine, the crisis in the Middle East and everything else that links us," says Macron.
