Description
France's top farmers' union the FNSEA expects the budgetary, fiscal and legislative commitments obtained last winter and reiterated by French Prime Minister François Bayrou to be put into practice by the time of the annual agricultural fair in Paris, according to its President Arnaud Rousseau, on leaving a meeting with the head of government at Matignon, the French Prime ministers' official residence. "We reminded the Prime Minister that we needed him to make a commitment. And that's what he did, telling us that in the past few days he'd only heard about walls, budgetary walls, political walls... Faced with the agricultural wall, he told us that he was determined to find solutions, to break through this wall and to quickly provide the solutions we are waiting for," the president of the leading farmers’ union told the press.
