Twenty five year-old equestrian Shukri Osman Muse has been turning heads on the streets of Somalia's capital, Mogadishu. Since taking up riding just last year she has now become, according to her trainer, the conservative East African country's "first" female equestrian. "It was my dream to ride a horse confidently through the streets of the city, without fear of traffic or the reactions of people. I also wanted to show everyone that it is entirely normal for women to ride horses," says Muse. "Her achievement is an inspiration to all Somali people, wherever they may be," says her trainer, Yahye Moallim Isse. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
