Description
Along the US-Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas, kilometres of fences, razor wire and even water buoys punctuate the shores of the Rio Grande. On the first week since Donald Trump took office, the border town remains calm, but troops have been deployed to reinforce security nearby. "He just conned everybody into believing that there's a major problem on the border", says one local activist. Others say they would feel safer with troops present on the border. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
