Description
After blocking all three bridges in Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city on the Danube, for three hours, students continued to block the main bridge, the Bridge of Freedom, vowing to remain on their barricade for a total of 24 hours. Tens of thousands of people gathered in Novi Sad on Saturday, three months after a canopy collapsed in its railway station, killing fifteen people.
The tragedy triggered a wave of protests against the authorities, their way of governing and corruption. The protest movement is led by students. IMAGES
