"Before I discovered the centre and had the prosthesis fitted, I felt that my life was dark and without purpose," says Reham Zarandah, a Palestinian who lost her leg in a bombing in Gaza, as she receives a prosthetic limb at the Artificial Limbs and Polio Centre in Gaza City. In partnership with the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the Red Cross is implementing a rehabilitation program for people who lost their limbs during the war by providing prosthetic limbs to help them adapt to their new lives.
