Description
Democratic lawmakers question whether the Trump administration will abide by a ruling of the US Supreme Court rejecting Donald Trump's bid to freeze some $2 billion in foreign aid payments. After a closed-door meeting with USAID's deputy administrator-designate Peter Marocco, Democratic lawmaker Gregory Meeks says, "He never did answer the question...So that is still a big question mark." Representative Julie Johnson adds, "Are they also going to defy the constitutional obligations by the Supreme Court? And if they do, the people need to raise holy hell because this is outrageous."
