Description
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Oqba Ibn Nafi mosque is a major historical monument in the city of Kairouan, located about 160 kilometers from Tunis. During the day, the site welcomes a moderate number of visitors and worshippers. In the evening, during the month of Ramadan, it sees a greater influx of people who have come to take part in the Tarawih prayers. These prayers bring together worshippers from different regions, who gather in the mosque to perform an important rite of the holy month. STOCKSHOTS
