Description
Weather Impact Days have been issued on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of some of our hottest weather of the summer so far.
Heat Advisories have been issued through the end of the day Tuesday as the risk of heat-related illness will be high through the hottest hours of 11a-7p.
Our dome of high pressure, which is responsible for the heat, will shift southward by Thursday, allowing us to cool down. This change in the weather pattern will be accompanied by a change in the wind direction, which will lower the humidity.
Tuesday will be dry, but chances of rain are expected from Wednesday to Saturday.
These showers will be very sporadic, and some of you may not receive rain at all. As a rule of thumb, you should water your grass 1-1.5” of water per week to keep it green. This is the equivalent of watering three times a week for 20 minutes.
The weather looks much better by the weekend just in time for the Buckeye football kickoff on Saturday.
