Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz took the stage in Milwaukee moments after she was reaffirmed as the Democratic nominee following the state-by-state role call at the Democratic National Convention.
They entered the stage to Beyonce's "Freedom," which has become an anthem for the campaign and the convention center in Chicago watched their appearance on the huge screens.
"I thank everyone there and here for believing what we can do together," Harris said. "We are so honored to be your nominees. This is a people-powered campaign," she added.
Moments earlier, a symbolic roll call in which delegates from each state pledged their support for the Democratic nominee turned into a party atmosphere inside the United Center.
