Description
Alert days have been issued for several days next week, as both temperatures and humidity rise at an alarming rate.
Highs will approach the middle 90s, and with dewpoints in the 70s, it will feel like 100-105F! This will increase the risk of heat-related illness starting Monday and continuing through the week.
This is not a short-term heat wave either, as we'll see 5-6 days at or above 90F and no relief in sight.
In terms of rain chances, it looks like a weak cold front will drive in a few rounds of showers/storms on Friday. Rain coverage is only 20% of the viewing area, and so many of you won't get any showers.
Saturday-Monday will be dry, and then thunderstorm chances return by Tuesday of next week. These storms will be primarily driven by daytime heating and will be non-severe in nature.
