March 21 on The Story: The Port of Portland is touting the new terminal at Portland International Airport as not only a visual overhaul but a sustainable one, creating a new supply chain from scratch. The Douglas fir in the terminal roof, for instance, was sourced — in part — from the Yakama Reservation in Central Washington, where generations of forest management and harvesting may help put a spotlight on how to build large, sustainable projects like this for years to come.
