Description
At Stark Street Studios, the potters are throwing, glazing and firing pots, cups and art to show at the 40th annual Ceramic Showcase. Charlie Piatt is a founding member.
"Any time you've done anything for 40 years it tends to be noteworthy," he said.
The entrance fee is free for everyone. Amy Fields has shown for the last 10 years.
"On these bowls I try to have a nice foot to hold on to so you can eat while you're holding it," she said. "At the Showcase you get to see everybody."
The Showcase is joined by the Gathering of the Guild, made up of woodworkers, jewelry makers, weavers and glassblowers.
The spring weather won’t be a problem: "In the Convention Center it's warm and dry."
