Feb. 15, 2023 on The Story: Last week, the news broke that high-ranking officials at the OLCC had been using their insider influence to snap up bottles of rare liquor before members of the public could get their hands on it, something that was revealed in an internal investigation last year. This prompted Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek to call for the resignations of all OLCC employees involved. The agency's executive director announced this week that he would step down. But during a board meeting today, OLCC commission chairman Paul Rosenbaum kicked things off with a diatribe defending himself and his fellow board members while wagging his finger at the press for the "aggravation" they've caused.
