Description
India's Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation demolishes more than 50 small huts and farmhouses of Bangladeshi migrants in a sweeping crackdown in the western state of Gujarat aimed at identifying and deporting undocumented migrants. More than 1,000 migrants have also been detained by the police over the weekend.
The Indian government, led by Hindu nationalist Prime Minister Narendra Modi, often describes undocumented Bangladeshi immigrants as "Muslim infiltrators", accusing them of posing a threat to the country's security. IMAGES
