Description
Julien Nyssens, 101, and Henri d'Oultremont, 100, are the last two living Belgian soldiers who fought in the Second World War. They were members of the Piron Brigade when they learned of Nazi Germany's surrender 80 years ago. On the occasion of a commemoration ceremony in Brussels, the two men are reunited. “We have to hope that things will get better, that people will be intelligent enough not to repeat these horrors,” says Henri d'Oultremont.
