The summer season is here, and that means pools across New Orleans are now open. One of those pools is a brand-new pool in Algiers. New Orleanians know that summer in this city is not for the weak, but having access to a pool makes all the difference. There are 17 New Orleans Recreation Development Commission pools across the city. According to NORD, 13 of them are currently open. NORD says three pools, including Harrell, Sampson, and Lehman, will open no later than mid-June. According to the City, A.L. Davis pool is undergoing maintenance repairs and is scheduled to open later this summer. Taylor Pool will remain closed for the season due to an ongoing Stormwater Management Project.
